Becky’s New Kitchen
KITCHEN REMODEL
RECENTLY COMPLETED BECKY’S NEW KITCHEN
Where love is always on the menu
When my client came into the showroom, she told me that she cooks, I mean REALLLY cooks. As a former caterer, she knew exactly what she needed: lots of storage, exceptional function, and a kitchen designed so both she and her husband could cook together comfortably at the same time. Oh-and she casually mentioned that her previous kitchen had been published in a local magazine.
So that was my introduction to designing Becky’s kitchen.
At first, I was a little intimidated, but we quickly connected and discovered we shared many of the same design loves. As the project evolved, I truly believed this new kitchen would be every bit as beautiful-and even more personal-than the last.
We designed the space with a fresh take on classic materials, using rift cut white oak cabinetry in a natural matte finish. The warmth of the wood paired perfectly with the honed Calacatta Ravello marble, whose soft movement and subtle blend of sheens created a layered, timeless look.
To finish the space, we added a mixed-metal hood, brass hardware, and a touch of glam with the custom mesh grill detail in the bookcase.
Towards the end of the project, Becky decided she wanted to add her copper pots displayed on the wall, so we tiled the entire space- a detail that truly brought all together beautifully.
But more importantly, this kitchen is where Becky’s life happens. Her husband is right there beside her, and their grandchildren are always nearby-mixing, tasting, “helping” and making the sweetest messes. It’s a space filled with laughter, shared meals, and memories in the making. Becky’s kitchen, where love is always on her menu.
